The emblem of our Colleges is Veenavadini Goddess Saraswati, the deity of knowledge. The profile of our fifty-year-old college is full of diligence, sacrifice & struggle. Our College is situated in the rural area. So we faced problem in the initial years but we successfully overcame them. In spite of problems and difficulties we never turned ourselves away from our goal that is to make the students cultured, fearless, expressive and self-reliant.Ours is one of the leading colleges in Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra university region. We take extreme efforts for the progress and all-round development of our students. Our mission is “To spread higher education among the rural population and deprived classes”. In order to follow our mission we provide education from per-primary to post graduate level.
We offer degree courses in Arts, Commerce & Science along with specialisation in the subjects Marathi, Hindi, English, Economics and Geography in Arts stream & Chemistry and Computer Science in Science stream. Apart from this, we also run Post Graduation in Organic Chemistry and Commerce. We undertake earn & learn scheme for the poor and needy students. We also run study centre of Yashawantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University, Nashik. We have good track record of result both at university & board level examination. At present we have 38 teaching staff members in the Senior College, 30 in the Junior College and 27 non-teaching staff members. All of them are dedicated. They are looking after the overall development of 3000 students in our College.
The College has huge campus of 33 acres and over 500 trees beautify the campus. A big well water pump & drip watering system are there to maintain the greenery. An ideal Botanical Garden attracts us without fail. We have big sized swimming pool, Indoor stadium, basketball court and well- equipped gymkhana (Gymnasium). This facility is useful for the students in order to keep them healthy. There is maxim “Sound mind in a Sound body”. Gymnasium helps the students to keep them physically fit. We arrange lectures on career Guidance & Competitive Examinations. In the H.S.C. (Vocational) section of our college the vocational trades are taught. In this section we have remarkable record of placement.
We certainly have set to meet the challenges of the 21st century. We have presented ourselves for assessment & accreditation before the NAAC twice. Our College has been awarded “B” grade in the first and second cycles. The vision of late Dadasaheb Digambar Shankar Patil who founded the institution will come completely true, we believe.
